While it was a bit chilly, we took Brandon to go bike riding after dinner and man does he like bicycling.
Hehe some artsy photos, sigh on the second shot I should have upped the shutter speed a bit more. In the 3rd picture I’m showing off my newly acquired old Canon PowerShot Digital Elph S500. It’s an ancient 5MP point & shoot, it’s the first really good camera I bought and I took many great photos with my old one before it finally died. Picked it up with two batteries and two 32MB compact flash memory cards for $40, well worth the price for the nostalgia.
The batteries work though I don’t know know how long they’ll last and I ordered a 1GB CF card from Amazon because the two 32MB cards only net me 11 shots each on the highest quality setting. Playing around with it in my basement, the image quality from this little camera is actually pretty good even today and there’s not that much noise in the photos. I may go for a photography walk on the weekend with Mario, if I do I’ll try S500 out. 🙂
Hi Colin,
I was doing some photography related searches and one of the results lead me to your blog. I originally thought the blog would be about photography but I see you have a wide mix of topics. I took a look at a few posts and they are very interesting. I am a bit of an amateur photographer myself so that area interests me the most.
Keep up the good work.
Johnny
Thanks for the kind words Johnny, share some of your work when you have time. 🙂 Photography is definitely fun and something I’m really enjoying but as my wife complains, I do have quite a few hobbies lol.
Colin
Hi Colin,
I see from your recent blog posts that you have quite a good collection of DSLR’s and glass. I see that you prefer Canon, it is a good brand.
For my needs I prefer Nikon. I received a Nikon as a gift in my childhood and from that point onward I never looked back. My daily use Nikon is the model D850 and as an “addicted” camera buff I have a number of lens. A man can never have enough good glass, right!
I love reading about fellow photographer’s experience. Keep up the good work on your blog! Share your photos.
Johnny
Hey Johnny.
Yeah with modern cameras, you can’t go wrong & I only shoot Canon due to me picking it at random many years ago lol. Ooo the D850, that must be a dream to work with, it’ll be a while before I reach that type of level.
Thank you and I will continue to post my photos. 🙂
