Lots of love this weekend

Wow what a weekend that just passed by, yes it was mother’s day weekend but it was pretty special and it all started on Friday.

Friday night, Eric & Sam had a wedding (yes Friday is an odd day but it worked out well) and Maggie & I were really flattered.  The couple invited quite a few guys from the airsoft team, mainly the hardcore mil sim group and it was great to see everyone, man it’s been way too long.

Haha Eddy had his Fuji out, Brayden brought his new A7II camera and of course I had my 6D MK II and it was great.  The wedding was small I’d say less than 100 people and I couldn’t be happier for the newly weds, they’re both wonderful and frankly it’s about time.  I told them both not to have kids yet, enjoyed being married and have a great time first, kids are great but they’re so life changing and not sure if they’re ready for that yet lol.

We left just before 12am but I know they had fun well into the wee hours of the morning.

Saturday with Brandon sleeping over at my mom’s place Maggie and I went out for a nice walk, I brought a lot of my camera gear but didn’t swap out any lenses or use my tripod, pity but at least I can handle the weight.

It was rather cool and the splash pad at Christie park wasn’t opened yet, it may have been empty but I’m sure a lot of kids can’t wait for it to open up!  We picked Brandon up after dinner and went to see Detective Pikachu at Fairview, the movie was alright, better than I thought and anyone who likes Pokemon will enjoy the show.

Today we celebrated Mother’s day at my mom’s condo and got a really pleasant surprise, Estelle is pregnant too!  Little Georgia will be a big sister to another baby soon and she was very happy.  Sigh that’s one of my greatest regrets not giving Brandon a sibling but still I’m really happy for Estelle & Imran.

Poor Lily (Megan’s baby), her reign as the youngest will be even shorter at a few months but that’s alright there’s a lot of love to go around.  Haha since I took care of my mom’s first and second priority jobs, the other guys and Brandon cleaned her car.  The little guy loved spraying water but to be fair that kid loves everything water related so it shouldn’t be a surprise.  A wonderful weekend full of fun activities and love, I do feel pretty darn lucky to be me. 🙂
