So I went to the Toyota dealership yesterday so they could photocopy Maggie’s degree (since she graduated recently and could take advantage of the graduate rebate) and spoke to my sales guy. He informed me that Toyota Matrixs are in short supply across Canada and that my car will come directly from the factory. Only glitch I guess is that it’ll take a bit longer and now the ETA for my car is early to mid March. 🙁
Sigh oh well nothing I can do, they had a lot of Corollas on the lot but no I had to get a Matrix lol. Let’s hope I get lucky and get the car sooner than later.

Yes I still have faith in Toyota, while I’m not pleased about what has been brought up, I think it’s still the best of the group. Also considering the condition of the big three in the US and that the US owns 60% of GM (Canada 10%), i think there’s a bit of politics involved too. I was reading on Reuters the other day that in Oct 2009 Ford completed a recall of 14+ million vehicles and there was not a word of it in the media. It’s a bit of a witch hunt, that and people expect that Toyota cars are bullet proof so when something pops up, it’s more surprising.
