So we had a fun weekend, the province was opening things back up (slowly) so on Saturday I grabbed Brandon and took him to Colonel Samuel Smith park to take some photos of the birds and they turned out pretty well. We were there first thing so there weren’t that many people and since it was a park, everyone observed good physical distancing.
Brandon took some photos too and they turned out really well, he has a natural eye for lines and art in general. I’ll share some of his work later but I’m wondering if the Canon T4i’s focusing system is holding him back… We left the park around 11am and headed home for lunch, after I mowed the lawn and topped up the air in the tires of our bikes since I knew we’d go for a ride this morning. 🙂
This time the whole family went to Tommy Thompson park, it’s a nice long ride and a place that we enjoy going to.
Again we got there first thing so there weren’t many people around which was great. A little warmer and I think we’ll have to go to the beach so Brandon can really get into the water. On the way back we detoured and took a path off the road and came across what I guess is a cormorant nesting ground and it was quite an impressive sight to see!
We left around 11, came home and I was lazy the rest of the day. We’re clearing out the storage area in the house so my basement right now is pretty cluttered but making good progress and I’m hoping I can get everything else taken care of by the end of the long weekend but we’ll see.
