I’m off today and since Maggie still had to work, I decided to spend some time with Brandon. 🙂 In the morning we first went to Jungle Cat World, we try to go there at least once a year since Brandon loves animals and at 10am, it was a dead which meant we didn’t need to wear masks while in the reserve. I really enjoy it as well since you can get so close to the animals, we were less than 5′ away from the white lions and maybe 10′ away from the tigers.
As the name suggests they have a lot of different cats and they’re just all so majestic looking. The lynx didn’t like us being around and was growling at us lol and uh we also saw this…
Haha well I guess love is in the air, animals will be animals right. 😀 Brandon saw it as well, I think he knew what they were doing since he had a funny smile on his face, I just told him they were mating lol. Due to COVID19 precautions, the feeding and up close animal experience was cancelled, too bad it’s a lot of fun for the kids to be able to touch some of the smaller animals. Hmm, I can’t remember the name of the small cat that’s second last in the gallery but it’s about the same size of Slinky… i wonder who’d win in a fight, Slinky can be pretty ferocious but he’s built a lot smaller.
After Jungle Cat World, we weren’t done and I took the boy to the Reptile & Dinosaur park unfortunately the indoor reptile exhibit was closed but we did the drive through and Brandon enjoyed it.
Most of the dinosaurs were animatronics, moved and roared which was cool and the attention to detail on the beasts was very good. I was worried that Brandon would be too old for dinosaurs but knew he was into it when he spotted the first dino. I’ll come back after COVID19 to get the full experience, the car ride was about 45 minutes but we had a really slow convoy going. The boy had fun and that’s all that mattered.
We got back late afternoon and pretty much chilled the rest of the day, off tomorrow too for Canada day and don’t have any plans yet so I’ll probably just take the family biking or something like that.
