Another abandoned mill

My internet was really slow last night so I didn’t get to post this yesterday but Mario, Mike & I went to the Barber Mill in Georgetown to explore and it was super fun.  We were technically trespassing though once inside it’s pretty obvious that a lot of people do, Mike was uncomfortable going in the front so we hiked it through the brush and went inside from the back lol.  The main structure is in an obvious state of decay and it looks like some of the outside structures may have been knocked down, not sure why it was so different.

Since there was such a large disparity of light, a lot of shots were bracketed and merged later in Lightroom.  There was a ton of graphiti, most of it stupid but then again kids will be kids & it was obvious someone was there the day before judging by all the discarded fireworks.  Exploring the 1st floor was the most fun, the only light available were through cracks in the ceiling and in some rooms there was absolutely no light at all.  Glad I asked the guys to bring their flashlights just in case!

After we went around for a walk outside and yeah as you can see in the latter photos a lot of it was knocked down.  All in all we spent about 2 hours on the premises just taking photos and leaving footsteps, definitely a cool place and I’d love to visit there again in the future. 🙂
