Tonight I picked up a Canon RF 35mm F1.8 lens to pair with Brandon’s Canon EOS RP for my use as my webcam lol. Behind my monitor, I found that 35mm worked quite well and the 24-240 just didn’t give me the background blur I was looking for. I absolutely hate the fake software blur that people use and wanted something more natural looking. 🙂
Well I’m WFH permanently and I’m the pretty face of my dept so I need something that will make me look good. 😉
That is an amazing way to setup a webcam for video conferencing. Are you a professional photographer? I never seen anyone use a DSLR for such a purpose.
P.S.
I just discovered your blog, it is certainly touches on many topics! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, the quality of the feed is so much better than a regular webcam haha love it! No photography is just a hobby I share with my son right now. 🙂
Thanks for the kind words!
