ISS!

Last night just after the sun set, I went to the park behind Brandon’s school as the International Space Station was set to fly over and woo I was able to capture it!

It’s very small because that’s all the resolving power that I have with my Canon EOS R5 & Canon RF 100-500mm lens but I thought it turned out quite well!  I’m getting the RF 2x extender on Friday so I’ll give it a shot again at a later time and see what I see.

  1. Time for a super telephoto lens, zoom in! Or perhaps buy a telescope with a camera lens adapter so that you can use your camera to shoot through the telescope?

  2. Astrophotography is fun and yes I’ve been thinking about getting a celestial tracking tripod so I could shoot for longer as well as maybe getting a telescope. Haha we’ll see.

  3. No time like today to buy new accessories. The lesson the pandemic has taught me is life is short and precious. You seem to have financial means so you might as well enjoy life a bit. Or perhaps you prefer to donate more of your time and money to charities?

  4. Hah yeah that’s true, we’ve invested quite a bit over the last year so my boy will be set when he’s older lol. Yeah we do have a few charities that we donate to regularly. I also realize that my family has been incredibly lucky so far, the pandemic has not really negatively affected us and I’m thankful!
