Oh god are things busy in the Sun household!  Yesterday we went to my mom’s side gathering at Mandarin and it was good, though I wish I didn’t have a late lunch…  Anyway Brandon performed, he was his usual cute self.  Maggie and my mom was letting him suck on fruit and I had the bright idea to give him a lemon and on man was it funny!!! 😀  There was like a delayed reaction, he’d suck on the lemon for 5 seconds then make a funny face afterward.   I told Maggie we know of a new trick, I’m going to give him a lemon when we have friends over next lol!!!  Brandon if you read this when you’re older, daddy loves you and you’ll understand when you have kids because it’s damn funny haha.

Today Maggie, her father and I took a day trip to Ottawa.  He wanted to see the capital but didn’t want to stay too long so yeah I drove 9 odd hours to spend about 2 1/2 hours in the city.  It was a lot better than I thought it would be and I really enjoyed walking around Parliament.  The tour was great, I got to see where our elected MPs squabble (and where all PM’s sit) and senate (where partisan politics rules) as well as the parliamentary library and a few other places.  As I’m sure you know, I love politics and it was nice to see things first hand.

We also drove by and looked at 24 Sussex Dr, where the PM resides but was not able to snap a good picture.  There were a lot of large SUVs in the way, perhaps PM Harper is hosting something…  It was an exhausting day but I’m pleasantly surprised about how well it went. 🙂
