First real snow storm…

Last night the forecast predicted snow so this morning I woke up a bit early, Maggie has to work and I told her I’d drive her to the subway… Anyway before that I decided to shovel the snow and man was it tiring!!! There was at least 15cm of snow though luckily it was the light fluffy stuff and not the wet heavy crap that sometimes comes. It takes me about half an hour to remove all the snow from my driveway and even then I didn’t have time to shovel the side walk as Maggie had to go.

Here’s a view of what it looks like from my house…

The drive to the subway wasn’t too bad, it was slippery but as long as you drive slowly it’s alright. Thank god I have snow tires as it makes a huge difference, my wheels were not spinning like those using all seasons. When I get home, I finish off clearing the side walk in front of my house and go in to relax.

Most of the morning I decide to play with my new Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, heh after going back and forth I decided to spend the money to get a new phone, I mean I was paying Rogers $30 a month for the most basic service since I wanted to keep my old personal number. I signed up with Wind Mobile’s $40 unlimited plan, yeah it’s $10 more now a month but it’s unlimited everything which is pretty good.

I love it, the phone is pretty much all screen, I’m not a fan of the touch screen typing however I guess you get use to it and within a few hours I find that my typing is almost as fast as on the Blackberry. Anyway learning the Android system now and playing a lot with the camera.

A bit later in the morning I take Brandon out to play with the snow and he absolutely loved it!

Hehe Brandon decided to clear the back patio area for me. 😉 Too bad Maggie had to work but I’m glad that I get to stay home today, the commute definitely would have sucked.
