I couldn’t help but laugh when I read this article in The Star, the Rogers CEO is complaining about the potential entry of Verizon into the Canadian mobile phone market

“What we’re absolutely against is a tilted or stacked playing field where you have a massive incumbent U.S. carrier that would be given favourable treatment, and frankly better treatment than Canadian incumbents,” Mohamed said Wednesday.

Yeah because the large Canadian carriers have given us great service at a reasonable price all these years… I for one look forward to the day Rogers & BCE go under (don’t have an opinion on Telus), the mobile cartel in Canada has given us nothing but super high prices (among the highest in the world) along with shit service. Fuck Rogers I’m so sick and tired of that company nickle and diming me and I’m looking forward to the day I don’t have to deal with them for anything (still have TV service for now, will cancel that soon).

I’m using Wind for my mobile service and it’s freaking awesome.
