Sigh the family is gone and now Colin is sad… Things started early this morning, I got up around 7:30AM ish, Brandon was already up and telling everyone to keep quiet because “daddy’s sleeping” which I thought was super adorable. Anyway I spent a lot of time with the little guy this morning playing dinosaurs and ninja turtles because he’s going to be gone for over a month. Anyway my mom came over to help me lug some of the luggage since it was impossible to fit everything in my car (3 pieces of large luggage, 3 carry on’s and a stroller) and I got Maggie’s mom to ride with mine so I could put most things in my car.

Hehe it was cute, every time Brandon saw my mom’s Mini Cooper he’d yell out “Look, it’s grandma’s car!” and was always so excited about it. Traffic on the 401 was pretty heavy at times but expected as it is a work day… We got to the airport around 10:30AM, Maggie’s flight left at 1PM so there was plenty of time and I loved how we didn’t have to line up to check in. Before the went to the boarding area, they all had a bit of a late breakfast.

Hehe my mom got Brandon this Thomas tote bag and he absolutely loves it. In fact in the days before leaving for China, Brandon would roll it around the house and tell everyone that he’s going to the airport. 🙂 Hehe he enjoyed rolling it around at the airport and everyone that saw him smiled. Sigh I have to admit, when Brandon gave me a hug and kiss before going to get screened I did feel a bit emotional but lol kept it in check.

I’m pretty bummed out right now, definitely going to miss them though I guess I will enjoy being a bachelor though to be frank Maggie is pretty reasonable and lets me do what I want anyway. That and I would always prefer to be around with my family, I guess it’s going to be hard the next few days but I’ll get use to it.

After dropping off the family at the airport, I went to Graham’s store in Oshawa and it was pretty darn cool. Not your typical surplus store, it had new and current stuff too and lol I ended up buying a good condition deactivated M72 LAW rocket launcher. What for, I don’t know but it’s definitely a cool piece and since it’s just the shell it’s freaking light. Maybe I’ll just carry it on my back when I play airsoft or something.

I don’t think I can modify it to shoot airsoft 40mm rounds but who knows, it was just $250 so it’s not like it’s going to break the bank and it’s definitely a unique piece of gear. 🙂
