A really hot weekend in TO

On Friday I received my Bushnell Holosight, I’ve heard so much about the holographic sights that I figure I had to check it out for myself. Apparently the unit I received is basically a first generation EOTech , rebranded Bushnell because back then EOTech wasn’t well known. In any case I certainly found aiming with both eyes open much easier with the Holosight compared to the RDS I usually use.

The holosight was painted tan but that was then mostly removed by the previous owner. I plan on using it on the CA M15A4 CQB and that’s how it looks on the gun. 🙂 I might put it on something else but I guess we’ll see how things go with this configuration first.

On Saturday in the afternoon, Charlene, Mario, Alan, Maggie and I went to watch The Bourne Ultimatum and overall it was a decent movie but it does have one major flaw. There’s a lot of camera shake and by the end of the movie, I was so sick I couldn’t go out for dinner after. It was bad timing because after the movie we planned to meet up with Stephen, Helene, Jessie and Jason for dinner to celebrate Alan’s birthday. Heh I’m sure I’ll be called a pansy for a few weeks but so be it. 😉 Alan had a good time, that’s most important anyway.

On Sunday I went to play airsoft at FlagRaiders and it was a lot of fun. Simple skirmishes on an easy map, exactly the relaxing type of game that I was looking forward to.

In the second picture people are gathered around Carl because he’s showing off his new Systema CQB PTW. Systema engineers a rather nice rifle but I’m surprised that both Carl and Bartek had so many problems with their PTWs. I’ll reserve judgment till I hear what is required to resolve the issues that were observed on Saturday. In the third picture, Mark is using his sweet Tanaka M29 revolver, that sucker fires well over 400 fps and I’m glad he wasn’t shooting at me. If you’d like to see more pictures form the game, they can be seen here.

On Sunday Mark came by to give me a hand with my TM 1911 and now it’s totally sweet… Full metal, it’s got good heft to it and it’s as accurate as the TM Hi Capa 5.1. We also figured out the feeding issue he was experiencing on the AK47 but didn’t have as much luck with his Patriot mechbox. The rest of the day I didn’t do much, mainly sat on my ass on the computer. 😉
