I particularly enjoyed this weekend because other than Brandon’s soccer practice we had nothing planned. We didn’t do much today, I did some yard work pulling some weeds and mowed the back lawn and played with the boy. I certainly feel relaxed and ready to hit the work week, woo it’ll be a short one for me as I get Friday off. 😉 About the only thing fun for me to report is that I feel pretty good about my current inventory of 5.56×45 ammunition as I picked up two crates from Al Flarhetys yesterday.

The crates along with what I already have in my ammo boxes gives me about 3k 5.56 ammo and I suspect that’ll last me to mid 2015 based on how I typically shoot with my AR-15 when I go to the range. I’m hoping that by then, the issue with importing Norinco ammo will have passed but if not I guess I’ll have to figure something else up. A bit down the road I’d like to buy another crate of surplus 7.62×39 but that’s not a rush as I have about 700 rounds of that, don’t shoot my SKS-D as much and it’s easy to get. Later in the week though I will go to Le Baron and buy some 9mm UMC Remington, I’m low on that as well and eventually will have to buy some more shotgun slugs sigh, so much fun but so expensive.

Oh finally I modified my 5 round pinned 30 round AK47 magazine to work 100% with the SKS! Can’t wait to try it out at the range.
