Saturday morning soccer class was cancelled and Maggie had a client meeting so it was just me and Brandon for the morning. It’s funny when it’s just him and I he doesn’t whine at all and is always well behaved but when Maggie is around I guess he knows he can get away with more. At ~1:50PM, I dropped Maggie and Brandon off for swimming class while I went to get a shave, my hair was getting a bit long so I wanted to cut it all off. Got back to Brandon’s swimming class with about 30 minutes to spare, he’s getting better so I’m happy.
Later we went to skating and he was tired so he didn’t put in as much effort… A bit frustrating but he’s young and that’s how it goes. Met up with my dad and we had a family dinner at Asian Legend.
This morning, Maggie went to play badminton with some friends so it was the boy and I again, my mom came over at around 11AM and after Maggie returned, her and I went out for a brief lunch. It was kind of a lunch/afternoon date thing, it’s been a while since we’ve been out just the two of us so after a quick bite we made our way to Rouge Valley Park and went for a small hike.
I chose a trail that was relatively easy so Maggie wouldn’t have as hard a time, lol I walk these types of places all the time when I play airsoft often carrying ~30 lbs of gear so today’s walk was a breeze.
I had my Garmin Foretrex 401 with me as I wanted to measure how far we walked and we covered ~4.5KM in around 2 hours. Not very far but we took our time walking to take in the beauty of nature. 🙂 Haha good thing my mom was looking after Brandon because Maggie and I agreed that he wouldn’t have liked it or worse we’d have to carry him!
Came back mid afternoon and relaxed the rest of the day.
My mom took a picture of Brandon sitting proudly with his toys… I’m thankful for what I have in life, hoping for a quiet evening and rest early, new work week coming up woo.
