Saturday started off with Brandon’s usual soccer class and it’s nice to see him enjoying it. Maggie and I was a bit annoyed he kept sitting on the floor but at least when he was participating he was going hard. We ate at home for lunch and chilled around the house till swimming time and I was very pleased with his progress. He’s still not kicking super well but at least he’s not afraid of putting his face into the water anymore and can lay flat on his back. LOL baby steps right? 😉

When we arrived at the skating rink at around 5:40PM, we found out that skating was cancelled. Too bad as Brandon seemed pretty excited to go skating and was telling us how he would try hard. Instead of going home, we decided to go out for dinner and even though we arrived to the restaurant before 6PM, it was freaking busy! We waited at least 20 minutes to get a table and thankfully Brandon was good.

Later in the evening, my mom came by to look after Brandon as Maggie and I had a “date night” and went to Second City to see some comedy and it was a lot of fun. Haha I was wondering if Maggie got some of the jokes, she assured me that she understood everything but I’m not so sure lol.

Our table mates was a couple getting away from the kids as well and it was nice to talk to people we could empathize with. 🙂 The show started late, at 10PM and finished just after 12AM so we went home and called it a night. Very busy but yeah it was very enjoyable too.

Lower key day planned today, Maggie may go to the office to do some work so it’ll be mainly the boy and I for Sunday.
