Having my fun too…

Today I went to Silverdale with Brayden and a bit later met up with Matt & Milan.  It’s been over two months since I last shot my own guns and boy was I rusty with the Glock 17!  The first 30 rounds my shots were going all over the place but after I was able to settle down and at 10 yards was able to shoot a ~4″ group with 10 cartridges (new KCI mags worked perfectly woo).  Not the best, but pistol shooting is a skill that deteriorates if you don’t practice and I definitely need more practice. 😉

I was pleasantly surprised though at how well I shot the H&K HK45CT, I haven’t given it much love much since I purchased it mid last year but I shot it better than the 9mm Glock 17 with a decent just under 4″ grouping (8 cartridges)!  Uh shooting sports use the imperial system which is why I’m quoting things in inches…  Too bad .45 ACP is so expensive but man I got to shoot the HK45 more attention moving forward!

I also shot my recently acquired Beretta 96D (.40 S&W), I got it in a trade with 3 magazines for an EOTech 552 and I don’t like the DAO (Double Action Only) trigger. 🙁  It’s very long and heavy, I shot the pistol alright but I don’t think I’m going to keep it, that and I don’t want to support yet another pistol caliber (which is only slightly cheaper than .45 ACP).  Still I got it for a great deal so I can’t lose…  I also played with the CSA VZ-58 and my Norinco AR-15 a bit but today was mainly a pistol day and I came home happy.

Oh on another note, my Toyota Matrix sucks in deep snow lol.  After packing my stuff from the action range I I tried to drive to the competition range where Matt & Milan were shooting and got stuck.  I didn’t realize the snow was 2′ deep, anyway I needed some help getting pushed out…  A bit red faced and embarrassed I just told the guys hey I’m an Asian driver, lol I know a cheap cop out.  Truth be told I didn’t need to drive, I was lazy and figure it’d be easier, the competition range is right next to the action one so I should have just walked.
