Am I the only one who finds it funny that Stephen Harper is boasting about Canada’s environmental record? Heh this is just great… if you want a laugh.
In a 10-minute address, he noted Canada was the first industrialized country to ratify a biodiversity treaty in 1992 and made protection of the Arctic environment one of his priorities.

I also rather enjoyed this article on a book written by former US press secretary Scott McClellan. It gives one insight on the inner workings of the Bush administration.
The way Bush managed the Iraq issue “almost guaranteed that the use of force would become the only feasible option,” the book contends, according to accounts in the New York Times and the Washington Post.
“In the permanent campaign era, it was all about manipulating sources of public opinion to the president’s advantage,” McClellan writes.

Is anyone really surprised? I agree that if Mr. McClellan had moral issues about what the administration was doing but regardless, it’s an interesting take from an insider.
