A “do a lot of things but relaxing” weekend

Things started on Friday night, my mom was looking after Brandon so I took Maggie to see Jurassic World and it was a movie we both enjoyed.  I thought initially it was a reboot of the franchise but it’s actually a continuation of the story so that was kind of neat and frankly I would have expected that if we have the ability to raise and keep dinosaurs captive, that we’d have better weapons available too.  Anyway if you’relooking for a movie where you can turn your brain off and just enjoy the visuals, Jurassic World fits the bill.  After the flick we went out to eat some Korean food which Maggie enjoys so she was a happy lady…

Saturday we went out for lunch with Stephen and Helene, it was great to see them and we’re happy that Helene is on the mend after her throat surgery. 🙂  After food we went to Brandon’s swimming class and again he seems to be having the time of his life and is the only kid at the pool that’s laughing like crazy.

Later, Maggie said that she wanted to go to some food festival on Bloor St so we drove down and hmm, no food festival…  Oh well it was a fun drive and we did stop off just past Christie St station so Brandon could play in the park and he really enjoyed it.

The weather was really nice so there were a lot of kids around.  Bored, we decided to walk along Bloor st and it’s always entertaining and that area is always very busy.

When we got home, I dropped off the family picked up my tools then went to my mom’s new condo to help her with some odds and ends and to put her new dining set together.  Ugh spent like 5 hours doing it but everything there looks great. 🙂

Sunday the weather sucked so we didn’t do too much, in the morning since Maggie went to play badminton I took the boy to my mom’s condo to check it out.  He enjoyed playing with the massage chair (which was pretty darn cool I have to say) then Maggie came over to see the new place. Hit up a restaurant that’s close by for lunch then relaxed the rest of the day at home.

Stupid rain, we’re going to be getting it all week ugh.
