Not impressed…

So today I originally planned to go hiking with Mario and Shawn however those plans changed Tuesday night because Maggie wanted me to take her friend’s husband (I don’t remember his name) who just bought some guns to Silverdale.  I’m waiting for a new toy myself and didn’t plan to go till I got that one but in any case she wanted to go so I obliged.  Anyway the plan was to meet at the range at 10 am and go from there, I get there at 9:50 am and see Brian which was a pleasant surprise, he’s shooting with a friend as well.  We wait and wait and wait and nothing, since it was starting to get busy we decide to go to the action range to get a spot (and good thing we did), so we unpack and set up.  Maggie decides to go back to the front of the field to wait longer so I’m shooting and enjoying myself, I glance at my watch and it’s 11 so I’m wondering where she is.

At around 11:15 am, she drives back down and doesn’t know where this guy is so she gets into the action and is shooting the S&W M&P22, Ruger 10/22 and CSA vz-58.  Haha I’m surprised she likes the vz-58 but she spends most of the time shooting the pistol and it’s one that she really enjoys; myself I’m just glad that the M&P22 all the cheap 22LR cartridges that I feed it lol…  Last time out I had some trouble shooting the Ruger 10/22 with the cheap Winchester 222 bulk ammo, this time I was feeding it some Winchester M22 and it performed a lot better.  A few FTFs or double feeds but I attribute that to newness of the Butler Creek mags rather than the gun itself.

Didn’t take many pictures, just a couple of the lady shooting and we wrapped up just after 12:30 pm. 🙂  In the last picture, I was seeing how far the Mini Cooper could go on a single tank of gas and after travelling just over 662km (and with according to the Mini computer another ~70km to go) I decided to fill up before heading home.  I wanted to push it to over 700 but Maggie kept complaining Not bad at all, the car is very efficient and there’s no way I could get anywhere close to this mileage in the Toyota.

We didn’t do much in the afternoon, since I shoot corrosive surplus ammunition through the CSA vz-58, I gave that rifle a good cleaning but didn’t bother with the pistols or DD MK18…  I did a thorough job last weekend so I’ll just leave them a bit dirty and clean them after my next range trip.

Maggie went to play badminton as per usual Thursday night so I took Brandon to Jason’s place so they could play with Logan and the kids had fun…  Now it’s almost bed time and I’m wondering where my week long vacation has gone lol.
