Well this day ended up being really busy…  In the morning Maggie and I went to Ikea, we needed to replace the sofa in the living room, it was about 8 years old and the leather was starting to peel off so yeah it had to go.  We went to the store a few times earlier in the month to scope out the options and today we decided to go in bright and early to make a purchase.  I think the thing was around $800 or so, not super expensive but not cheap either, meh it works and I don’t care about being fancy. 🙂

For lunch we went to a Chinese restaurant in Markham and lol it was kind of nice to eat just the two of us and not worry about the little guy. After lunch we went to see Terminator Genysis and it was pretty good, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I loved the scenes that showed/mirrored the first movie but this is a flick on itself and if you like the franchise you’ll probably like this one too.

When we came home I had to answer a few emails then went to pick up Brandon a bit early so he could play in the park.  Came home around 5:15pm and started up the BBQ for an early dinner as the sofa was to be delivered between 6-10pm and at around 6:30 it came.

Brandon was playing with water floaties like they were boxing gloves and attacking the tree (notice I snipped all the lower hanging branches, now we have more space) and in the third picture we see the new boring sofa.  It’s pretty comfy and I hope it lasts as long as the old one, Ikea stuff can be hit and miss so we’ll see if I luck out on this one…  Kids love boxes and the sofa box was Brandon’s space ship. 🙂  Didn’t do anything the rest of the evening, just chilling and getting ready for the weekend.

Sigh my week long vacation went by really quickly, too quickly if you ask me. 🙁
