How much time left?

So this morning I took Brandon to visit my grandmother in the nursing home and it wasn’t as pleasant as the last two times.  She was upset at having to live there and was frustrated that her memory is slipping, I empathize completely as I think it’s one of the most horrible fate’s that one could have, to lose their mind is to lose them self.  With that said anytime she was down, I asked Brandon go to give her a hug and kiss and you could see how much joy that brought her, every time was like it’s the first time she’s met her great grandson.

We stayed and talked for about an hour before leaving and I now feel guilty that I didn’t spend more time with her when she was better…

We swapped Brandon’s swimming to Sundays so we can have family day on Saturday (skating is at dinner, we’re rarely out that long) and it was fun to watch him swim.  When we got home, Maggie and I cleaned the house a bit, we put up some xmas lights outside and relaxed the rest of the afternoon.  A very enjoyable weekend, two more weeks then I’m off for the xmas holidays and I got 3 weeks of doing nothing in store. 😉
