So today was pretty leisurely, even though I said I wouldn’t I did check some of my emails in the morning. With that said though I left the BlackBerry Z10 at home by my computer and went out to have some fun. First I met Stephen at Lebaron, we picked the store because it was in the middle and that would allow us to figure out a restaurant afterwards since neither of us know the area well.
Of course with that said if I’m going to Lebaron you know I’m going to buy something lol… I’ve always wanted a really small flashlight that I could carry along with me everywhere and the little button light I have on my keys just doesn’t cut it so when I saw the Fenix E05, I knew that was the light for me.
As you can see the flashlight is only slightly bigger than a AAA battery (which it runs on) and can do 8, 25 & 85 lumens, amazing that this little light can output that much power and it’s darn bright compared to even my weapon lights! With something like this, I can drop it into my pocket and forget that it’s even there so it’s perfect.
Anyway back to Stephen, we ended up going to a restaurant at First Markham place the spot is one I’m familiar with but unfortunately there was a change of ownership and the stuff tastes different. It was still good but the won ton noodles were not as tasty so that was a bit of a disappointment but we had a good time.
During my week off I want to build a rain water catching system and I took my first step today by acquiring a 55 gallon food grade blue barrel.
The barrel is in great shape though it housed some hair treatment so I’m going to have to give it a thorough cleaning tomorrow. Want to use it to water plants and possibly a vegetable garden if Maggie gives it another shot this year so if she does that, we need to make sure the barrel is free of chemicals. I have a list of things to buy from the HomeDepot or Lowes tomorrow and I can’t wait it’s going to be a fun one.
I’ll take pictures of everything along the way, if this works out I’ll quickly add another barrel so I can use it in the front yard as well. 😀
