So over the weekend I picked up a used Streamlight TLR1S and woo now all my pistols have weapon lights. 🙂
I don’t need flashlights on my pistols but I think it’s pretty cool! I have a Surefire X300 Ultra installed on the H&K SFP9, its controls are a bit different from the Streamlight and frankly I don’t know which one I like better… I think I prefer the Streamlight because with the Surefire, you need to push on the tabs forward to activate the momentary on and that could potentially throw your shot off if in a high stress situation. I guess I need to practice more at night with that combo.
Oh and I was able to catch the mail man and this greeted me when I got back.
Hehe it’s a Norinco M305 semi automatic rifle chambered in 7.62×51. I’d love to get a Springfield M1A sometime in the future but those things are really expensive so this will have to do for now and man I can’t wait to go to the range on Saturday. On the list of things to get is a rail mount and a nice optic but I’m going to leave the gun stock looking as I think it looks badass the way it is. 🙂
Sorry mom, I know you don’t like it when I post pictures of the toys but I was excited.
As a life member of the NRA I am always happy to see fellow gun “nuts” enjoy shooting. I own a varied collection of Armalites and AK’s myself. Good to see that buying guns in Canada is still possible. For pistols I prefer a good Colt .45 any day over those German 9mm peashooters lol.
Sigh yeah you guys have access to a lot more toys than we do up here in Canada and some guns like AKs are banned completely. Our gun laws don’t make any sense, lol I always tell people I may be liberal for most of my views but if I’m not hurting anyone, I don’t see why I can’t do or play with whatever I want to.
I’d love to buy a WW2 Colt 1911, I had a Kimber Custom II in 45 but sold it. Later in the year I think I’ll be looking for something nicer, a friend of mine has an Ed Brown 1911 and that thing is smooth as silk, really spoiled me when I got to shoot it. 🙁
Haha I like my 9’s, I’m still a newb and it’s also a caliber Maggie can handle (45 is too much for her) so if I can keep her interested in shooting it’s a positive. 🙂
