So today I received my Leupold VX-2 3-9×40 scope and woo it’s installed on the Norinco M305.
I’ll need to get a better M14 scope base, even as far back as the rings can go I find the scope is too far forward and the medium height scope rings I bought are too high so I’ll swap those out with a low set next week hopefully. Can’t wait to go to the range, unfortunately this weekend and next are pretty darn busy with family stuff but soon!!!
Colin, do yourself a favor and don’t buy Norinco, that Chinese made stuff is cheaper in price but it’s un-American to buy a M-14 rifle made overseas! There are plenty of North American companies that sell a classic like the M-14, can’t you get them in Canada? Support local jobs buddy!
I have a Smith Enterprise M-14. Fantastic build quality and it shoots really well.
Hi Tim.
Haha thanks, I’d love to buy an American made M14 but I can’t afford one right now. That and Maggie gives me a really hard time about things typically I go with something inexpensive then get something much better later on, not ideal but lol it’s the game I have to play. I’m not familiar with the American brands, I’ve been eyeing a Springfield M1A how are those?
Thanks.
The Springfield M1A is considered among the best M14’s out for the civilian market. I would love to own one if it were not for the M14 I already have in my collection.
Once again I urge you to dump any and all Norinco arms. I despise that brand with great passion. You want to use an American rifle then buy American! If you want to use a Chinese firearm then buy Norinco.
Ahh good to hear, that’s the goal to get a Springfield M1A shortly.
Fair enough, I understand your feelings on Norinco they flood the market with inexpensive firearms up here in Canada and a lot of people get them to start off and graduate to something better later on.
