Minor Whiplash

Last night Maggie complained about some pain coming from her neck, we had already decided to pay her doctor a visit today but just to be safe I called Telehealth Ontario to speak with a registered nurse and based on her symptoms the nurse recommended we go to the hospital right away, so we did.  Unfortunately North York General’s emergency room was pretty full so I figure we were in for a long night…

LOL while I was there I took a few pictures, Maggie thought i was ridiculous but lol we were in the initial waiting room for 2 hours give me a break I was bored right.  While in the ER I noticed these religious pamphlets all over the place and frankly I think that’s in pretty poor taste…  Pretty despicable if you ask me to prey on someone’s fears of sickness and death, Maggie was bored so she read about how everyone is going to hell. Surprisingly she didn’t repent immediately and is still damned like me. 😉

Anyway after we finally saw the nurse, we then had to wait in at a smaller waiting area to see a doctor and waited there for another hour or so.  The ER doctor was pretty thorough and ran through a whole set of neurological and physical tests and thinks that Maggie just has some minor whiplash.  After the diagnoses she gave me her usual “I told you so” bit about it not being too serious but I didn’t want to take the chance.

All in all I think it took about 3 1/2 hours and got home just past 1AM but meh I’m glad we went.  Luckily my work allows me to work from home when needed and Maggie will also be off to rest up.  Her neck muscles on the left side are more sore today but that’s to be expected, I’m just thankful that she’s alright.
