Another quote came in today, this one is from Solsmart and it’s attractive because it’s so darn cheap… This company has been around slightly longer and it’s nice that they give a list of references, I think I’ll have to give some of these guys a call or email.
Solsmart quote says my roof will generate a bit less than what New Dawn Energy Solutions but it’s also $10k cheaper which is pretty attractive… Maggie likes this one more because it’s cheaper but I’m going to start negotiations with the contenders next week and hopefully we can have things finalized by the weekend.
On a side note, I’m very disappointed with Grasshopper Solar, on a recommendation from Jorai’s friend I’ve emailed and called this place twice to no avail. 🙁 Expecting one more quote, was told I’d get it by EOD tomorrow. 🙂
While searching through the internet I came across this wonderful blog and this interesting post about renewable energy. As a strong environmentalist I applaud your effort to install solar panels. Thank you for protecting Mother Earth and good luck!
Thank you for the kind word, I believe very much that the future of energy generation will be micro… If every home and building could generate a bit of power, we’d need less and smaller power stations. I try to do my part, there’s always more that can be done and I’m also trying teach my son to be responsible. 🙂 I picked an option and will be moving forward with this project, hopefully I’ll have my panels up before the end of the summer.
