Going negative

I enjoy politics and have been following the US Democratic presidential nomination closely because it’s certainly an exciting time in the US. The thought of a black man or woman holding the most powerful position in the world is intriguing and perhaps the people down there are not as backwards as we thought… Anyway since I’m not an American citizen my opinion doesn’t matter but I will post it anyway. I’ve always liked the Clinton’s, I believe in many of Bill and Hillary’s policies (or promises) however because of this ad, I could never vote for Hillary.

Right from the get go I’ve identified more with Barack Obama, perhaps I’m naive but I do think a world of peace is achievable and we just need the right leaders. I absolutely love Senator Obama’s promise of hope for the future and many of his social and economic policies seem sound to me anyway. For the most part Mr. Obama has run his campaign with grace and it would be a shame for him to follow in his competitor’s footsteps with a negative campaign.

Leave the attack ads to the right wing Republicans, fear mongering is their tool (Hello G W Bush’s America) and the Democratic party should stick with it’s promises of a bright future. After 8 years of fear, let’s go with a leader that at least tries to deliver a better world.

  1. Heh yeah I saw that earlier, I’m glad that Barack Obama has it on his YouTube page too.
